Terms and conditions.

The working agreement between you and Mingenta LLC for sessions, supervision, mentoring and programmes.

Last updated 30 July 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms govern all services booked through this website. Your contract is with Mingenta LLC, operating as The Lighthouse Project ("we", "us"). Services are delivered personally by Janine Pereira de Almeida.

2. Services

We offer individual therapeutic work, coaching, professional supervision, mentoring and structured programmes. Sessions take place online or, subject to availability, in person. Nothing on this website is an offer of emergency, crisis or psychiatric care.

3. Booking and confirmation

Appointments are booked through our scheduling system. A booking becomes binding once you receive a written confirmation. We may decline or end an engagement where the work is not clinically appropriate, and will say so and, where possible, suggest alternatives.

4. Fees and payment

Fees are shown before you confirm a booking and are stated inclusive of any tax we are required to collect. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store your card details. Single sessions are payable in advance. Programmes may be payable in full or in agreed instalments; unpaid instalments may suspend further sessions.

5. Cancellation and rescheduling

Appointments may be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the agreed start time. Within 48 hours, and for missed appointments, the full fee is due. In cases of acute illness or emergency we will always look for a fair solution.

Where we must cancel, you will be offered a new appointment or a full refund. Further consumer rights are set out in our cancellation and refund policy.

6. Your commitments

You agree to attend punctually, in a private and safe setting with a stable connection for online sessions, and not under the influence of substances that would impair the work. Recording of sessions is not permitted without prior written consent from both sides.

7. Confidentiality

Everything shared in sessions is treated as confidential. Confidentiality may be limited only where the law requires disclosure, or where there is a serious and imminent risk to your life or the life of another person. Anonymised material may be discussed in our own professional supervision.

8. Scope and limits of the work

Our work supports insight, decision-making and change. It does not replace medical or psychiatric treatment, medication, legal or financial advice, and no particular outcome is promised.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for injury to life, body or health and for intent and gross negligence. Otherwise our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of this kind of contract and, in total, to the fees paid for the service concerned. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Intellectual property

Programme materials, written exercises, texts and images remain our property or that of their authors. They are provided for your personal use and may not be redistributed, published or used commercially without written permission.

11. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated for future bookings; the version in force at the time of your booking applies. The law of the state of registration of Mingenta LLC applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence. Questions: office@the-lighthouse-project.com.
